Purpose of Each Category of Sessions

The Financial World of Information Technology Program held on August 10-14 is the only “must attend” program for IT financial management practitioners as this conference program offers the most sessions and networking opportunities related to the financial planning, acquisition, management, and evaluation of IT assets and expenditures. The IT Strategic and Financial Planning, Budgeting and Reporting Sessions are the first known curriculum of its kind. The IT Asset Management Sessions bring together the vast experiences of practitioners and leading experts with experiences from best practice organizations. It provides speakers who are highly experienced experts in this field and creates a forum of asset and expense management practitioners to discuss a wide spectrum of tools and techniques used for investment analysis, contract negotiation, acquisition, control and disposal for IT asset management.

The IT Performance Management and Benchmarking Sessions provide a unique forum for executives and practitioners to discuss their hot issues, challenges and solutions. The material covers practices and procedures in the design, implementation and application of the various tools and techniques in identifying, measuring, monitoring, understanding and evaluating the key drivers of IT performance.

Fee Schedule

The registration fee covers all workshops/conference sessions, presentation handout material, attendee list, full breakfast buffets, all day refreshments, open bars, and lunch buffets. You may apply for ITFMA membership (January-December) with your registration for an additional $200.00.

Cancellations received after June 11 are subject to a $200 fee. Cancellations received after June 25 are charged 50% of the registration fee. Nonattendance without cancellation are subject to the full fee.

Continuing Education

IT Financial Management Association is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: This five-day program offers over 30 hours of continuing education credit for CPA, CMA, ITFMA, CIA, CISA and other certifications. The program level of all sessions are basic for NASBA purposes. There are no prerequisites or advance preparation required for attending the conferences for continuing education credit. The program objectives are to learn best practices, cutting-edge procedures, experiences of your colleagues, and solutions to current issues. ITFMA Certification

About the Hotel

Pfister Hotel Lobby

The conference program will be held at the elegant historic Pfister Hotel located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. The hotel room rate is $195 for single/double occupancy, and the government rate will be the prevailing 2021 government per diem. The national historic landmark Pfister Hotel built in 1893 quickly became the “Grand Hotel of the West,” and has been the premier accommodation downtown in Milwaukee ever since. In the 1960’s it was renovated to its original beauty and a new 23-story guest room tower was added. For over 40 years, the hotel has received the AAA Four Diamond Award, which designates it as one of the top 3% of hotels in the U.S. The ornate three-story lobby with dazzling chandeliers is dominated by a grand marble staircase at one end and a massive fireplace at the other. The lobby ceiling sky-blue scene of ethnically diverse cherubs was painted in 1932 to recall the view through the original vaulted open skylight that had since been over-painted. How to Get Around Downtown

The downtown streetcars called The Hop MKE are free and runs every 15 or 20 minutes from 5a.m. to midnight Mon.-Fri. (starts 7a.m. on weekends). The 2.1-mile initial line connects the Milwaukee Intermodal Station and Downtown to the Lower East Side and Historic Third Ward neighborhoods.

Downtown’s Milwaukee Trolley Loop fare is only $1.00 and runs only Thursdays through Saturdays from 11a.m. to 9p.m. The 30 stops include the Milwaukee Public Market, Wisconsin Center, Milwaukee Public Museum, Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin, Old World 3rd Street, Historic Third Ward, Betty Brinn Children's Museum, boat tours and the theater and hotel districts. The route also includes downtown's many restaurants, shops, spas and salons.
